Prospect Centre Links and Resources

Central to our mandate is to help parents and students navigate sucessfully through the challenges that seem to go hand-in-hand with learning differences. Our Links and Resources section is always growing and changing. If you have an idea, book, or resource you would like to share please email us a note to postmaster@prospectcentre.ca.

The Prospect Centre has an extensive Parent Library. All titles are not listed in the Reading section, but a few "ground level" resources we feel are essential for parents of newly-diagnosed or struggling learners. This list is in no way inclusive, just some of books parents find most helpful.

Neighbourhood Links

The Prospect Centre is part of a vibrant neighbourhood of South Surrey in scenic White Rock and within driving distance to Surrey, parts of Langley and Delta.

It is a 40 minute drive from Richmond and one hour south of Vancouver.

During your child’s
Orton-Gillingham lessons, parents may enjoy relaxing in the waiting area and looking at the changing ocean scenes.

Our center has a warm relaxing atmosphere, which is the best possible for learning.

Many parents enjoy browsing through the various shops on East Beach, Marine Drive, going for a run or walk with (or without the dog) or take time for a coffee or a snack in any of the several coffee shops and restaurants nearby.

East Beach is the quieter side of White Rock and has a familial ambiance that appeals to the young and the old alike. It is at its finest during low tides when the sands stretch out seawards for half a mile.
